Bentley Beyond 100 Started With Research
Bentley hybrid cars have led the way in the luxury segment. The manufacturer produced the world’s first luxury hybrid SUV when it introduced the Bentayga hybrid in 2018. Three years later, the Flying Spur joined its brother. The GTC hybrid soon followed. The Bentley Bentayga EWB will be electrified at some point.
The vehicles are just part of this story about Bentley sustainability. The Crewe plant on Pyms Lane was certified carbon-neutral in 2019 thanks to the record-breaking solar panel array and other commitments. You can see part of this when you pull into the factory site where the 17 beehives will greet you. More than 1 million honey-producing bees live by the entrance of our Pyms Lane plant.
Bentley sustainability isn’t done yet. Bently hybrid cars will soon give way to all-electric powertrains. The current factory site and the vehicles Bentley produces are part of a larger goal of making the entire company, from the vehicles and non-factory operations, carbon-neutral by 2030.
Bentley Hybrid Cars Give Way to EVs
In the coming years, sometime around 2026, Bentley will roll out its first-ever all-electric model. We expect to see this on our lot in 2027. The automaker shifted its goal of going all-electric for every model by 2033.
