How to Follow Up on a Bentley Recall
Bentley produce their vehicles to the highest possible standards, but if any issue is detected a Bentley recall will be issued to keep drivers from harm. If the vehicle you’re driving has been affected, you should have been contacted already, but you might still be curious about how to follow up on a Bentley Recall. That’s why we’ve put together this quick overview covering everything you need to know.
Recent Bentley Recalls
The only Bentley recall issued in 2020 or 2019 was for certain 2020 Continental GT vehicles equipped with a factory-installed sunroof. It was found the sunroof may not be properly bonded to the vehicle body, which can result in:
- Wind Noise
- Water Leaks
- Rarely Complete Separate from the Vehicle Body
In the very unlikely event of the sunroof panel separating from the vehicle, the risk of an injury or crash would increase.
What Should Owners Do?
Bentley will notify all owners who may have been affected, and dealers have already been instructed to remove the old sunroof glass and fit a new panel using the approved bonding products and procedure. This will be carried out completely free of charge. The recall was set for June 15, 2020, and owners can contact Bentley customer service at 1-800-777-6923 for any further information. The recall number is RE 20/15 (RB57).
